love story for the ages.

once upon a time, there was an island where all of the the feelings lived. Knowledge, Happiness, Sadness, and Love. one day all of the feelings were informed that the island was going to sink, and they had to make it to dry land as soon as possible. they quickly repaired their boats and started on their journey. love wanted to hold strong until the last possible moment. so when the island was almost sinking, love decided to ask for help. Vanity was passing by Love in a magnificent, sparkling boat. Love said “oh Vanity, can you please take me with you?” Vanity answered, “no, i can’t. my boat is much too beautiful for you. there is no place for you here.”

Sadness was close by so Love asked him for help. “Sadness, please let me go with you.” but Sadness looked at him and glumly said, “oh….Love, i am much too sad. i need to be alone.” Happiness passed by Love soon after that, but she was so happy, she didn't even hear when Love called out for her help. as Love kept frantically searching, he suddenly heard a voice. "come Love, i will take you.” Love turned around and saw someone he didn't recognize. but Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that on his trip back home he forgot to ask his rescuer what his name was.


when they arrived on dry land, they went their seperate ways. Love, realizing how much he owed this savior, he sought out Knowledge, and said
“oh Knowledge, who rescued me?”
Knowledge looked at Love. “it was Time,” Knowledge answered.
“Time?” asked Love. “but why did Time help me?”
Knowledge smiled. “because, only Time can comprehend how great Love truly is.”
